Jamie West Update

Sadly, some inaccurate media reporting has given the impression that we have received enough money to bring Jamie West home.

Unfortunately we only have promises and pledges which meet the target so we still urgently need those who have promised to donate to do so.

Help for Jamie West's family.

Jamie West, from Sheldon, has spent the last four months being treated in a Greek hospital after suffering serious injuries falling from a hotel balcony.

He is now stranded there while his parents are struggle to find money to fly him home. Due to the nature of his injuries, Jamie needs to be flown home in a specialist aircraft with medics on hand. His family have been told that this will cost them in the region of £30,000.

Appeal for Information - Mansfield Area

Over the weekend we received some information that could be crucial to one of our cases. If you are able to help in any way, please contact us as soon as possible.

On Friday night a man calling himself CJ spoke to a Prayer Patroller in the Market Place/Leeming Street area of Mansfield. He was wearing a brown suit and black tie and said he had been to a funeral.

We really need to speak to him to eliminate him as a missing person.

If you are the man who spoke to Prayer Patrol on Friday or have any relevant information, please contact us as soon as possible.

Missing Abroad and The National Homicide Service

Missing Abroad is proud to have be chosen by The Ministry of Justice as a Commissioned Service Provider. This means we deliver vital support to families of murder and manslaughter victims overseas as part of The National Homicide Service. We are delighted that this has also lead to a strong and positive partnership with Victim Support.

Team Missing Abroad in the London 10k

On Sunday team Missing Abroad headed to London to bravely run the 2011 Asics London 10k. Our team was small but determined and initial counts suggest they raised somewhere in the region of £2500. Huge thanks to Adrian, Alan, Beccy, Emma and Hayley and all their sponsors - your efforts will make a huge difference to the families Missing Abroad supports. You're all stars! You can view a video of the run here (thanks Dave at Wight Media Services for filming and editing it for us!).
